I have just got back from the gorgeous wedding of Lucy & James at Norton Park Hotel, in Hampshire. Where to start? Lucy looked amazing. Wearing a beautiful frock, shoes and shrug, she looked like a silver screen goddess. The hotel was perfect in the crisp Autumn sunshine (for at least some of the day!), golden leaves and blue skies set the theme of the whole wedding. Much of the preparation and portraits took part in the pretty old Manor House, as these images testify – the light was beautiful, and it felt like the scene of a movie set in the 1930’s.
There was a lovely dual service (civil ceremony and Catholic blessing), followed by drinks in the stunning conservatory attached to the Manor House, before on to the wedding breakfast. The party was brought to a standstill by the surprise Lucy had arranged for James – instead of a first dance, she sang him a beautiful song, and accompanied herself on the piano. Everyone was moved to tears (including myself & my lovely second shooter Anna), and she performed it wonderfully (despite what she might tell you!).
Congratulations to you both, and thank you for letting us be a part of your incredible day. Have a wonderful honeymoon, I hope you like the the story my pictures have told of your day!
