I had the pleasure of heading into Dorset on Sunday evening (happily just as most of the day trippers were leaving), for Hana’a & Jonathan’s pre-wedding photography at the beach near their home in Poole.
They brought along the very gorgeous Sophia (who is a fine example of why I love having kids along to engagement shoots sometimes – she was fun and sweet and engaging), and also Mysterio (have I got his name right, Sophia? I am very forgetful.) and Mysterio’s daughter – family friends who may or may not live in Sophia’s imagination most of the time. They were also lovely, but I was darned if I could get them to smile. This was the first time I had met Jonathan, but Hana’a is a very talented hair stylist who has the unenviable task of periodically trying to snip my fluffy barnet into something resembling an intentional style (it is to her credit that she generally succeeds, too!).
So we hung out on the still 24 degree beach (although the sun had set, making is much cooler thankfully – I do not tolerate heat well), we toasted marshmallows and played in the surf and generally gooned about. I had a blast.
I am looking forward to their wedding in Bournemouth next month, and kind of keeping my fingers crossed that Mysterio makes an appearance :). Thanks folks! xxx
