So, today I was lucky enough to see Hannah & Matt get married in front of their fantastic family & friends at St James Road Methodist Church in Southampton. The ceremony was beautiful, and will always stick in my memory I think, because of Rev Terry Hudson saying to the couple before their vows; “Remember, when you say these words, that they will change your lives forever”. They really do, you know, even when you don’t expect it.
After a cream tea in the church hall we left for one of my favourite Southampton venues, Bradgate Manor in Netley. The couple & their friends had done an amazing job making the marquee look amazing, and we sat down to a gorgeous hog roast from Uptons, at tables with wild flowers, handmade boxes filled with specialty tea, and on vintage crockery from Anna Evans Teas.
After the meal & speeches, Hannah & Matt donned aprons and served their guests cake from the amazing range baked by their family & friends. I may have tried the lime & coconut…
it was also flippin’ lovely to see my some of my lovely couples from past years, Matt & Kirsten and Jo & Andy! This is the best thing about being booked as a result of other happy couples – I totally get to spy on them & see how they are doing.
Thank you so much for having me there, Matt & Hannah. It was a wonderful day, and I loved every minute. Hopefully you are still dancing away to Victoriana, but its bed for me….! xxxx
