Cripps Barn Winter wedding
Winter weddings are a special beast, there is no denying that they can be cold, dark, and call on a hefty range of skills to get right. These are no less special (in fact I love a cosy wedding on a cold & rainy day), but then sometimes, just sometimes, you get a sprinkle of Christmassy magic & you get days that are mild & sunny, filled with flowers & friendships, families & food, and everything that Christmas is about anyway. Scott & Saskia were blessed with such a day yesterday.
Sassy found me through her sister Emily, who is a friend & fellow photographer, and I warmed to their no nonsense, irreverent attitude immediately. It had been years since I’d shot at Cripps barn, and I was so excited to go back. It really is the perfect Winter wedding venue – all warm-toned light & cosy touches. The decor was beautiful – a navy & gold constellation theme, with loads of stunning design touches by Sassy’s bridesmaid, the super talented Rachel Waring (find her Etsy store HERE).
Saskia & Scott are flying off round the world with an open ticket today, and yesterday was the most amazing way to wave this loved & cherished couple off. Thank you so MUCH for your gift of a wedding, it was such a brilliant way of finishing the year, and I loved being there.
Notes; Scott, not Stott, Sott, or Scrot. MEGA best man’s speech – it was a risk but it paid off. More mother of the brides giving speeches please! Janey you killed it. Excessive amount of cute babies, ovaries may have burst. Everyone should wear sparkly shoes at Christmas.
Supplier notes: – Placecards, table decor, and countless other touches: Rachel Emma Studio. | Venue: Cripps Barn, Cirencester – HUGE thank you to James & the team for being amazing | Awesome Ambassador car by the throughly lovely Kushi Cars | The Florals were incredible but I forgot to ask who did them. Bit useless. | Can’t wait to see the film by lovely Ben Radley either!
